‘OMG 2′ Uncensored on OTT – Akshay Kumar’s ‘Oh My God 2’ garnered substantial anticipation prior to its release on August 11. The film, featuring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, marked a significant entry in the year’s cinematic landscape. A central point of discussion around ‘OMG 2’ was Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Lord Shiva. The movie also delved into the subject of sexual education. Interestingly, ‘OMG 2’ secured an ‘A – Adults Only’ certification from the censor board, which came along with 27 edits. Worth noting is that this represents Akshay Kumar’s initial film in over a decade to receive an adults-only classification.
In a recent conversation with PTI, director Amit Rai expressed the team’s disappointment regarding the ‘A’ certificate. He conveyed that the film would be accessible on an OTT platform without undergoing any alterations.

The emergence of Akshay Kumar’s ‘Oh My God 2’ was a subject of keen anticipation this year. Encompassing performances by Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, the film forms a sequel to the 2012 blockbuster, which also featured Paresh Rawal.
Amit discussed in a dialogue with the news agency PTI, “We were disheartened as we designed the film for a universal audience, a vision which could not be realized due to this rating. We made appeals for a U/A certification (allowing viewers under 12 with parental guidance), but unfortunately, this request wasn’t granted. We persisted in our efforts till the end… However, at a certain juncture, we had to diverge. The film underwent adaptations…”

Its core intention was pure. We abstained from any intention to titillate, hence the favorable reception. Our approach to the subject matter is grounded in reality, yet presented in an affable and comedic manner.”
REGARDING ‘OH MY GOD 2’
A product of director Amit Rai, the film introduces Akshay Kumar in the role of Lord Shiva. ‘OMG 2’ also enlists Yami Gautam, Pankaj Tripathi, and Arun Govil of Ramayan fame. This satirical comedy-drama stands as a sequel to the 2012 triumph ‘OMG- Oh My God!’ The movie’s production is attributed to Cape of Good Films, Ashwin Varde, Vipul D Shah, and Rajesh Bahl. Dr. Chandraprakash Diwedi serves as the creative producer, while Amalendu Chaudhary has overseen the movie’s cinematography.
