Tanya Maniktala is an Indian actress born on November 10, 1997, in New Delhi, India. She completed her schooling at Delhi Public School, Vasant Kunj, and went on to pursue a degree in English Literature from Delhi University.
After completing her graduation, Tanya worked as a copywriter in an advertising agency. However, her passion for acting made her take the leap into the entertainment industry. She made her acting debut in 2019 with the short film “Cold/Mess,” which won the Best Short Film award at the Mumbai Film Festival.
Tanya gained recognition and popularity for her portrayal of the lead role of Lata Mehra in the BBC One web series “A Suitable Boy” (2020), directed by Mira Nair. The show was based on the novel of the same name by Vikram Seth and was well-received by both critics and audiences.
